Biography

Bowen Hill, son of the firm’s founding partner, Thomas B. Hill, Jr., received his B.S. from the University of Alabama in 1951, and remained in Tuscaloosa for law school.  Graduating in 1953, Bowen received the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award as the Outstanding Male Graduate of the University of Alabama, as well as being named the Outstanding Graduate by Phi Delta Phi, a legal fraternity that he served as President.  Bowen came to Hill, Hill, Carter upon his graduation and has been with the firm for almost 60 years.

Experience

Bowen Hill has over six decades of experience representing corporations, partnerships, and individuals in a broad spectrum of related transactions. In addition, Bowen’s practice has involved extensive experience in loan closings for individuals, corporations, real estate syndications and other business enterprises. He also has substantial experience in elder law.

Bowen’s vast experience extends well beyond the walls of the firm, and is exemplified by his service to the Bar, state, and community.  He is the past Chairman of the Alabama State Bar Grievance Committee, past President of the Montgomery County Bar Association, and founding member of the Alabama Bar Foundation.  He served on Governor Wallace’s staff and as General Counsel to the Montgomery Board of Realtors and Southern United Life Insurance Company.  He also served on the Board of Directors to the YWCO, the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce, Union Bank & Trust Company, First Alabama Bank of Montgomery, and on the Region’s Bank Advisory Board.
